General Education Credits

A general education is defined as those Post Secondary learning experiences that enable learners to meet more effectively the societal challenges that they face in their community, family and working life. Fanshawe offers a variety of General Education courses.

According to the Ministry?s policy, every diploma, advanced diploma, and applied degree program requires at least one General Education elective.

Fanshawe's General Education Elective courses are offered through our School of Language and Liberal Studies. You will find information on your options and how to apply on the General Education Electives web page.  Students are notified by email if they will be required to register for a Gen Ed course, prior to the registration date.
